Andrew LinnieBorn in Dublin, Andrew gained a 1st class Bachelor of Music degree at the National University of Ireland, prior to training in theatre at the Royal Academy of Music, London.
Andrew originated the role of Dean in THE COMMITMENTS (Palace Theatre). He subsequently assumed the lead role of Jimmy at the last minute to press and public acclaim. Other theatre includes: Peter in NEVERLAND (Nottingham Lakeside), Man 2 in SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD (Muse Theatre Co), Mark in RENT (Abstract Theatre), Noah Claypole in OLIVER! (National Concert Hall, Dublin), LA TRAVIATA, CARMEN and THE GONDOLIERS (Lyric Opera, Dublin), THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE (Buxton Festival), TURANDOT (Opera Ireland), and Benedick in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING (Players, Dublin).
Theatre credits whilst training include: Stine/Angel City Tenor in CITY OF ANGELS, HOWARD GOODALL’S SILAS MARNER, George in CHAPTER TWO, and Colm in DON JUAN IN SOHO.
Television appearances include: THE LATE LATE SHOW (RTE), CHILDREN IN NEED, THE ONE SHOW (BBC), SUNDAY NIGHT AT THE PALLADIUM, THIS MORNING, DAYBREAK and THE PAUL O’GRADY SHOW (ITV).
